Two Years of LearningRoom: More Than a Platform, A Growing Ecosystem

Bagikan artikel:

Chapter One: An Unexpected Beginning

There was no luxurious boardroom. No giant vision statement hanging on the wall. Two years ago, there was only a small room, a whiteboard crowded with barely readable scribbles, and a silence heavy enough to be felt.

The LearningRoom team had just finished watching the very first demo of the product they had built. The animations stuttered. The user flow felt confusing. One question lingered in the room, and no one wanted to say it first:

Was what we were building truly useful?

What they wanted to solve was a challenge that had long shaped the reality of education in Indonesia:
How do you make English learning feel less burdensome for children?
How do you build confidence, not just grades?

The decision they made that day was not about adding more features or using more advanced technology. Instead, they made a more fundamental shift: from building a learning platform to creating an ecosystem.

A place where students do not simply study, but dare to try, make mistakes, and grow.

Two years later, the same team now sits in a room that feels too small to contain all the new dreams ahead. The whiteboard no longer shows rough concepts, but thousands of school names, dozens of cities, and countless teachers.

They no longer ask whether the product is useful.

They can already see the answer—on screens, inside classrooms, and in the bright smiles of children who were once silent but now dare to speak.

Chapter Two: When Numbers Speak Through People

Today, the LearningRoom meeting room is no longer just a place to draft content or refine code. It has become more alive with voices from every corner of the organization, each carrying a different story, yet all leading to the same realization: their growth is shared growth.

Restu Sekar, Head of Digital Marketing, still remembers how difficult it was two years ago to convince teachers that a competency-based approach was more than just a buzzword.

Today, she no longer needs lengthy explanations. She simply shows the impact.

“We used to talk about a learning platform. Now we are seeing holistic competency development and growing confidence,” she shared.

Her team is not only building the brand; they are helping shape how students across Indonesia learn to be brave—through a blend of competencies, challenges, and engaging events that turn motivation into something tangible. “We are not just a platform. We are a space for growth.”

In the same room, Tri Darulliyanti, LearningRoom’s Content Operations Lead, opens a dashboard containing more than 3,500 learning materials. Yet that number is not what makes her most proud.

Her focus is on the 36 structured learning methods that have been redesigned over and over again.

“At first, we thought having more content was the key,” she said with a smile.
“It turned out the real difference lies in how the content flows—from receiving information to actually using it.”

The journey has been long: from animation-rich content, to improved learning pathways, to balancing receptive and productive skills side by side.

The result?

A more interactive, more complete, and continuously evolving learning experience.

If the Content team builds depth, then the Sales team expands reach.

Farah Farihah Marthia, Sales Support Staff, points to a map that now highlights 10 cities. But for her, the number represents something much greater: trust.

“Many school leaders were once hesitant. They had heard too many promises about digital transformation,” she explained.

Today, she can point to 683 teacher connections, more than 41,000 students, and 462 partner schools.

Behind the scenes, Keshia Sherie, Senior Product Manager, continues building the foundation. Her team understands that Indonesia cannot be treated as a single infrastructure reality. Urban and remote areas face different challenges.

That is why LearningRoom is designed to be adjustable and adaptive, without compromising the learning experience.

Today, the platform offers more than 50 features, ranging from real-time tracking to gamification, built to function both online and offline.

Their commitment remains simple: to create a learning ecosystem that is real, measurable, and impactful.

Chapter Three: Toward a Wider Horizon

Two years.

Big numbers often define celebration: 50 features, 3,500 content modules, 41,000 students.

But when the team talks about the future, what emerges is not euphoria. It is a calm sense of ambition.

Restu speaks about continuing to inspire—not as a slogan, but as a promise. Rida is already working on the next learning methodology that will make productive skills come alive. Farah looks at the map of Indonesia and sees many more cities yet to be reached. Keshia imagines feature number 51, 100, and beyond, all guided by the same principle: stay simple, stay impactful.

Two years ago, they paused in silence, wondering whether all of this would matter.

Today, that silence has been replaced by the voices of children who once felt afraid but now dare to speak; by teachers who were once doubtful but are now trusted partners; by an ecosystem that began as a concept and now continues to grow.

The journey of LearningRoom is not the closing chapter.

This is only the end of the beginning.

The third year is not about how far they can go, but how deeply they can be present—in more cities, more classrooms, and more moments when a child realizes: they can.

The first two years were about building the foundation. The years ahead are about growing hope.

And if there is one thing every voice in that room agrees on—from Restu, Rida, Farah, to Keshia—it is this: they are only just getting started.
