LearningRoom, a digital English learning platform for school-age children, continues to strengthen its commitment to advancing English literacy in Indonesia. This time, the LearningRoom team was on the ground in Banjarmasin City, hosting a training program for English teachers representing 35 junior high schools.

The training, held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Edelweiss Ballroom of Hotel 88 Banjarmasin, brought together 45 teachers. It marked an important step in the implementation of LearningRoom as an innovative and adaptive digital learning solution in classrooms across the city.

Strong Support from Local Education Leaders

The event was attended by key officials from the Banjarmasin City Education Department, including the Acting Head of the Department, Ryan Utama, S.STP., M.Si, and the Head of Junior High School Development Division, Yul Poliatma Rachmanu, AP, M.Si.

In his opening remarks, Ryan Utama emphasized the importance of partnerships in driving digital transformation in education:

“We warmly welcome LearningRoom’s initiative and presence in our city. Educational digitalization is inevitable, and this adaptive approach can empower teachers to be more creative and inspire students to enjoy learning English,” he said.

Hands-On Training for Teachers

During the session, teachers were introduced to LearningRoom’s two main features: the Student Portal and the Teacher Portal. The training covered technical guidance on account setup, activation, and exploration of interactive features aligned with the national curriculum.

Participants also engaged in hands-on practice sessions, received user guides, and had direct Q&A opportunities with the LearningRoom team. Yul Poliatma underscored the program’s purpose:

“Our goal is not only digitalization but also to build motivation and competitiveness among students through fun and adaptive learning,” he said.

Enthusiastic Participation

The LearningRoom team noted the high level of engagement from teachers throughout the training.

“We were truly impressed by the teachers’ openness to innovation. Their enthusiasm proves that the spirit of digital education transformation is real in Banjarmasin. We hope LearningRoom continues to strengthen teachers’ roles and help students develop a love for English from an early age,” said Alma Grace Sianturi, B2G Sales Associate at LearningRoom and one of the trainers.

Expanding in South Kalimantan

Banjarmasin City is a priority area in LearningRoom’s South Kalimantan expansion. Earlier, LearningRoom had also taken part in socialization activities with the Banjarmasin City Education Department to introduce its digital solutions.

With programs like this, LearningRoom continues to position itself as a strategic partner for local governments and schools, ensuring English education in Indonesia is not only equitable and inclusive, but also relevant to the demands of today’s world.
